SCRUTINEERING
• Random scrutineering will take place at any time during a meeting. This
will be carried out at the beginning of any heat or heats. All the cars
in the chosen heat will be checked, if a car is found to be illegal at
any point during the meeting that competitor’s points will be scrubbed
for that meeting.
• Top Six cars may have their cars opened up and put on the track for
every one to scrutinise at the end of the meeting/final.
• Having a magnet effect track there will be checks for magnetraction
in the cars at scrutineering or if any car is suspected of having a magnet
fitted.
• Weight may be added inside the car only and must be securely fixed with
glue or BlueTac (Lead / lead/alloy substitutes only)
• Cars will be checked to ensure all parts used are eligible and all rules
are adhered to.
• Motors must remain sealed/un-opened; any evidence of cans being opened
will be viewed as tampering with the motor and is illegal.
• Front axles/tyres must not stick out from the body. Front wheels must
run with tyres.
• The maximum overall width of the rear axle/tyre must not exceed 65mm
and wheels must not protrude from the wheel arches.
• Failure to enter scrutineering when required will result in disqualification.
• 1 car only to be used through out a meeting, if a part breaks or fails
during a heat, the car can be repaired but needs to be scrutinised before
commencing the next heat. In the unlikely event of a total write off where
the original car is beyond repair a replacement car (conforming to the
rules) may be used for the remaining heats & finals but scores will
be scrubbed for that meeting. No change of car is allowed during a heat.
• Chief Scrutineer’s decision is final.
RACE FORMAT
• Each driver will race once on each lane. Drivers will race in seeded
order (seeding will be worked out from the championship table prior to
the event). New drivers will be seeded at the bottom of the point’s table.
• The heats will be raced over a time of 3/5 minutes. At the end of each
race the laps & footages are recorded. All race scores are then totalled
to give a final position.
• This is a non-magnet championship. Traction magnets are NOT allowed.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
• Any GT, GT Sports and Prototype cars are permitted although the decision
can be taken by Chief Scrutineer not to allow a car to race that isn’t
in keeping or with in the spirit of the series.
• Best 8 from 10 rounds will count.
• In the event of a tie the result will be decided by count-back. i.e.
the drivers with the greater number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. In the unlikely
event that there is still a tie dropped rounds will count.
• Points are as follows: 1st – 20pts, 2nd – 19pts, 3rd –18pts ETC
