SCRUTINEERING
• When signing in cars go into parc ferme and will remain there for the
duration of the meeting. Lighter Fluid, Oil, Braid conditioner & cloth
will be provided so that cars can be prepared prior to your heat. No other
products other than those supplied at parc ferme can be used.
If a car is found to be illegal at any point during the meeting that competitor’s
points will be scrubbed for that meeting.
• Top Six cars may have their cars opened up and put on the track for
every one to scrutinise at the end of the meeting/final.
• Having a magnet effect track there will be checks for magnetraction
in the cars at scrutineering or if any car is suspected of having a magnet
fitted.
• Weight may be added inside the car only and must be securely fixed with
glue or BlueTac (Lead / lead/alloy substitutes only)
• Cars will be checked to ensure all parts used are eligible and all rules
are adhered to.
• Motors must remain sealed/un-opened; any evidence of cans being opened
will be viewed as tampering with the motor and is illegal.
• Front/rear axles/tyres must not stick out from the body.
• Front wheels must run with tyres.
• The maximum overall width of the rear axle/tyre must not exceed 82mm.
• Failure to enter scrutineering when required will result in disqualification.
• 1 car only to be used through out a meeting, if a part breaks or fails
during a heat, the car can be repaired but needs to be scrutinised before
commencing the next heat.
• Chief Scrutineer’s decision is final.
RACE FORMAT
• Cars will be placed into Parc Ferme after scrutinnering and must not
leave this area unless allowed by the official scrutineer until the end
of the meeting.
• Each driver will race once on each lane. Drivers will race in seeded
order (seeding will be worked out from the championship table prior to
the event). New drivers will be seeded at the bottom of the point’s table.
• The heats will be raced over a time of 3 minutes. At the end of each
race the laps & footages are recorded. All race scores are then totalled
to give position of the step finals.
• This is a non-magnet championship. Traction magnets are NOT allowed.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
• Any of the Scaleauto 1/24th car are permitted using the SC8000 chassis
in standard anglewider configuration, although the decision can be taken
by Chief Scrutineer not to allow a car to race that isn’t in keeping with
the rules or with in the spirit of the series.
• Best 8 from 10 rounds will count.
• In the event of a tie the result will be decided by count-back. i.e.
the drivers with the greater number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. In the unlikely
event that there is still a tie dropped rounds will count.
• Points are as follows: 1st – 20pts, 2nd – 19pts, 3rd –18pts ETC
RULES
Any of the Scaleauto 1/24th car are permitted using the SC8000 chassis
in standard anglewider configuration. Any parts which may radically change
the championship format may be banned from use in this series by the chief
scrutineer.
• Traction Magnets MUST be removed and no extra magnets can be added.
BODY
• Bodies may be repainted but must remain standard, no lowering of bodies,
body-mounting posts or trimming of wheel arches. Body must include a full
standard unmodified interior and driver figure and screen. Windscreens
must remain standard and remain clear so that the interior can be viewed.
Bodies MUST start each race with rear spoilers in place and securely fastened.
The use of unpainted bodies is not allowed, and must be painted so that
there are no unpainted areas (the use of clear coat lacquer over plastic
is not allowed). Wing mirrors & aerials may be removed. Bodies must
be of a hard plastic i.e. No Lexan Fiberglass or Vacforms.
CHASSIS
• Chassis must be either the SC8000rtr or SC8000b kit and retail all the
standard parts with exception of axle spacers which are free choice. Any
replacement parts must be as the original parts in which you are replacing.
GUIDES
• Guides may be changed to the SC1622 type.
MOTORS
• The motor used must be the SC025 long can in angle winder configuration
using the standard chassis mounts. No upgrading of motor magnets or brush
gear allowed. If their is any suspicions the motor has been tampered with
in anyway it will be deemed illegal and must be replaced.
GEARING
• MUST remain standard and to the ratio of 12/44, no drilling or lightning
of gears allowed. (I would recommend 2 grub screws in the spur gear)
WHEELS
• Front wheels must remain standard as supplied (SC4042),
• Rear wheels must be SC2421p with Procomp3 compound sponge tyres fitted
• No drilling or lightening of wheels allowed. (I would recommend 2 grub
screws per wheel)
TYRES
• Tyres must be of the Procomp 3 compound (SC2421)
with the red logo on the outer edge visible for identification by the
scrutinner. If this is not visible it will be deemed illegal. Please
Note if the tyres are not easily identifiable by the scrutineers they
will be deemed illegal.
• Tyre must be identifiable to the original tyre
out of the pack. If this is not the case it will be deamed illegal.
• Minimum Dia of tyres is 25mm.
• Tyres may be trued and rounded off on the edges.
• Tyre goops are NOT allowed.
• Front Tyres are of a free choice but must be of a rubber compound. Front
tyres may be clear varnished.
LIGHTING KITS
• Are not required and MUST not be fitted.
WEIGHT
Car must be a minimum weight of 215grams and a maximum
of 225grams.
The weight added to the car must be one piece of lead and be secured to
the H frame inside the centre of the chassis.

The eligibility of a car will be at the discretion of the organiser/Scrutineer.
Organiser has the right to amend these rules at any point during the year.
Organiser’s decision is final.
