I’ve not had chance to say goodbye to everyone at the club, so would like to take this opportunity via the club website to thank everyone for making it all so enjoyable being a member of the Pendle Slot Racing Club.

Thank you to all the members who have given advice, help and guidance in preparing and race tuning my cars. I’ve still a lot to learn, but you have all given me a great start in learning the great craft of slot car racing!

Thank you also to Nick, who back in 2007 helped me get properly started in building and preparing scratch built cars; initially for the Wolves Classic saloon event in October of that year. It’s been a steep learning curve since then, but without Nick’s encouragement to join the club, none of my subsequent cars might ever have existed.

A special thank you must go to fellow club mates and friends; Bryan King and Paul Cash, both of whom have been a constant source of inspiration, humour and support in creating and building scratch built slot cars. They have provided me with endless, invaluable advice and tips from building brass chassis’s to finishing off and painting resin body shells.

I hope to see many of you again at future events, whether they are retro or slot.it challenge based.

In the meantime, I wish you all good health and hope you continue making the Pendle Slot Club one of the very finest in the land.
