SCRUTINEERING
• Scrutineering will take place with cheif scrutineer Nick Hirst &
one other member. Random scrutineering will also take place at any time
during a meeting. This will be carried out at the beginning of any heat
or heats. All the cars in the chosen heat will be checked, if a car is
found to be illegal at any point during the meeting that competitor’s
points will be scrubbed for that meeting.
• Finalists may have their cars opened up and put on the track for every
one to scrutinise at the end of the A final.
• • Having a magnet effect track there will be checks for magnetraction
in the cars at scrutineering or if any car is suspected of having a magnet
fitted.
• Weight may be added inside the car only and must be securely fixed with
glue or BlueTac (Lead / lead/alloy substitutes only)
• Cars will be checked to ensure all parts used are eligible and all rules
are adhered to.
• Motors must remain sealed/un-opened; any evidence of cans being opened
will be viewed as tampering with the motor and is illegal.
• Front axles/tyres must not stick out from the body. Front wheels must
run with tyres.
• Failure to enter scrutineering when required will result in disqualification.
• Chief Scrutineer’s decision is final.
RACE FORMAT
• Each driver will race once on each lane and will be given lane choice
in their final according to their position after the heats. Drivers will
race in seeded order (seeding will be worked out from the championship
table prior to the event). New drivers will be seeded at the bottom of
the points table.
• The heats will be raced over 3mins or 20 laps. All race times are then
totalled to give a qualifying position and step-up finals are raced.
• This is a non magnet championship. Traction magnets are NOT allowed.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
• Best 8 from 10 rounds will count.
• In the event of a tie the result will be decided by count-back. ie the
drivers with the greater number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. In the unlikely
event that there is still a tie dropped rounds will count.
• The points are as follows:
20pts, 19pts, 18pts
RULES
• The car used must be a NSR Renault Clio or Punto in anglewinder form
using all the original parts as supplied with the kit in the list below.
Any parts replaced must be the same as the originals.
Suspension kits are not permitted and must not be used.• Traction Magnets
MUST be removed and no extra magnets can be added.
• Cars MUST have all their chassis to body fixing screws firmly secured
or covered with a piece of tape or blue tac to prevent screws working
loose and falling onto the track.
BODY
• Bodies may be repainted but must remain standard, no lowering of bodies,
body mounting posts or trimming of wheel arches The use of unpainted bodies
is not allowed, unpainted bodies must be painted so that there are no
unpainted areas (the use of clear coat laquer over plastic is not allowed).
Headlamp / tail lamp lenses must be in place at the start of the first
heat of each meeting.
CHASSIS
• Chassis must match the body and remain total standard. No modifications
or alterations allowed.
MOTOR MOUNTS
• Mount must be a Anglewinder and remain totally standard. No trimming
allowed.
MOTORS
• Only the 21.400k Nsr King motor is eligible for use. (Ref: NSR3012 or
NSR3017)
If the motor appears to have been tampered with it will be deemed illegal
and must be replaced.
GEARING
- Gears that are supplied with the car must be used, no drilling or lightning
of gears allowed. Pinion NSR 7113 13z and Anglewinder spur gear NSR 6531
31z.
WHEELS
• Wheels MUST remain standard that come with the car , no drilling or
lightening of wheels allowed. Ref: NSR5003 Frt wheels and NSR5004 Rr wheels)
TYRES
• Rear Tyres have be NSR rubber and may be glued to the wheels, trued
and treated but must feel dry to touch at the start of a race. Tyre goops
are NOT allowed. In order for the scrutineers to identify the tyres used
are legal, the NSR logo which is moulded to the tyre wall must be clearly
visible . Please Note if the tyres are not easily identifiable by the
scrutineers they will be deemed illegal.
• Front Tyres are of a free choice but must be of a rubber compound. Front
tyres may be clear varnished.
GUIDES
• Any guide from either the NSR range or Slot it Range are eligible.
FREE CHOICE
• Only parts available from the NSR range that are supplied with the car
are to be used except for the following: Slot It guides. Braid, axle/guide
spacers, motor to guide cable, alloy wheel grub screws and body screws
& motor fixing screws.
DeNotes
• Only parts available from the Pendle Slot Racing shop are eligible.
The eligibility of a car will be at the discretion of the organiser/Scrutineer.
Organiser Nick Hirst has the right to amend these rules at any point during
the year.
